Mother was Blinded After Giving Birth While Diagnosed with This Kind of Disease!

Pregnancy, also known as gravidity or gestation, is the time during which one or more offspring develops inside a woman. But there is one mother who suffers blindness after giving birth of her most awaited child.

Before having the baby, Arwina was diagnosed for having goiter which may be the cause of her blindness. Goiter is a swelling of the neck resulting from enlargement of the thyroid gland.

A friend named Nikki Bautista posted her picture on Facebook to gather enough money for her operation. Here's her message:

According to Cleveland Clinic, each one of the thyroid disorders can occur during pregnancy with a higher frequency than in the general population. The thyroid might enlarge during a normal pregnancy and resume its normal size after delivery. Abnormalities of the thyroid blood tests may be seen during a normal pregnancy and do not necessarily indicate thyroid dysfunction.
