DIY: Women Want To Find Out When Your Bloody Monthly Visit Will Come To An End?

Menstruation is a regular discharge of blood and mucosal tissue from the inner lining of the uterus through the vagina. Almost 80% of women, according to the study experience these following symptoms prior to menstruation, including acne breakout, tender breasts, bloating, feeling tired, irritability and mood changes.

But when and how this menstrual cycle stops?

Pregnancy
One factor why menstruation stops is pregnancy. If the woman gets pregnant around the mid-cycle, the fetus' placenta starts secreting Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). HCG causes the remnant of the ruptured follicle to start growing and starts secreting progesterone. This will sustain the thickness of the uterine wall during the pregnancy and cause the periods to stop during the pregnancy.

Menopause
When you are in your late 30's, your egg supply begins to decline in number and quality. The hormone production changes. You may notice a shortened menstrual cycle and some premenstrual syndrome symptoms.

Gradually, you will be having irregular periods. This can start as early as your late 30's or as late as your early 50's. It continues for 2-8 years before the  menstrual cycles end.
